Julie Stubbs | Director of the Office of Undergraduate Academic Awards

Julie Stubbs is the founding director of the Undergraduate Academic Awards Office, where she advises students on campus-wide awards and national scholarship opportunities. She received a PhD in History from the University of Michigan and is a member of the National Association of Fellowships Advisors. Before coming to UW-Madison, Julie was the program director for Gaining Options: Girls Investigate Real Life (GO-GIRL), a math enrichment program for middle school girls in Detroit, Michigan.

 

 

 

 

 

Debbie Berger | Assistant Director of the Office of Undergraduate Academic Awards

Debbie Berger joined the Office of Undergraduate Academic Awards in 2013. She has a BA in Liberal Arts from Columbia College. She is a member of the National Association of Fellowships Advisors, and has been a member of the Wisconsin Association of Academic Advisors. Prior to joining the UAA Office Debbie was the Director of the Academic Success Center at UW-Baraboo/Sauk County. She worked in the UW-Madison Office of Admissions for eight years where she was a transfer admissions counselor.

 

 

 

 


Jill McLeod
| Advisor, Office of Undergraduate Academic Awards

Jill McLeod joined the Undergraduate Academic Awards office in 2023 as an advisor for the campus-wide and national scholarships. Jill has a BS – Edu SLD from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Jill has taught, privately and publicly, for over 30 years in the US, UK, and New Zealand. She is currently a second year master’s student in the English Language and Linguistics program within the English department. Jill also serves as president for the Applied Linguistics Student Association at UW-Madison. Away from campus Jill lives with 8 chickens, 2 cats, one dog, and a husband in Middleton. Besides a growing population of animals Jill also grows copious amounts of edible, flowery, and spiky plants.
